Such a lovely day. We went up to our allotment early, and I took these pictures of our daffodils

There are violets growing on the path coming home. We really must get to the Seven Sisters and see them massed, now they are in season |
||
Just
outside the allotment gates, the woodland has been cleared for the first
time since the great storm. Looks quite wintry, but look closely and you
will see the green shoots of spring |

Once home, I had to go to work, and this was taken in Ditchling Road, waiting for the bus |
|
|
The day at work was undistinguished, but I left in time to walk home at sunset. I was greeted with this row of lamps, already lit, by the footpath up the hill | ||
Further up the hill, across the Ditchling Road, following the footpath up to Hollingbury ring, this tree has become rather a favourite with me. It might well end up with its own webpage when I've got enough shots. For now, here it is in company with the setting sun |

Carpark
gate and footpath signpost turn their backs to one another |
||
These
are the same blocks of flats that the footpath above leads up past, but
viewed from the shoulder of the hill looking back. All the street lights
are on, giving the picture a magic twinkle (you can see it in the high
resolution version) and Asda is just visible to the left |
||
What
are these strange alien objects striding towards me from out of the setting
sun? |
|
|
Inside
Hollingbury Ring, just past the triangulation point, where the footpath
breaks through the ramparts to go down the hill to home, stands this solitary
tree |
