Yes, I let it sink in for a while.  The digitigrade effect is emphasised in the nature of the segmenting in the first sketch, with a slight S-curve centred on the knee and I liked that.  The alteration of the segmenting makes that less obvious, but it's brought back by the increased bulk given to the front of the thigh.  It's converged more with the heavy suit and the helm is now more identifiably human - the ant-like head was cool, but the placement of the large side lenses suggested a head too divergent from the human norm.  I like the "muzzle", and like it overall.

Actually, coincidentally, the helm, with the large round eye, the protrusion and the peak looks a bit like a nautilus.  Just an observation.  There is something nicely uncanny about those creatures.

(also rushing out...)

looks better - looks right - much more as if it covered a human, but not quite human

which is the effect desired, of course

(helm has a subliminal "muzzle" look, a bit animal-like) (feet a bit like digitigrade feet of dogs/cats)

(gotta shoot out again and see people.   sorry)

I'd just like to say that I'm enjoying this immensely.  It is very much a process of finding out.  I thought I knew what the Landsuits looked like, vaguely (uh, let's see, kinda bulky, lumpy gadgety stuff... grey, probably, Pallin looks like an actor named Ian...), now I know what they really look like.  I can't wait to find out what everything else really looks like.  The best bits are the things that I never thought of, the surprises.
