Actually, coincidentally, the helm, with the large round eye, the protrusion and the peak looks a bit like a nautilus. Just an observation. There is something nicely uncanny about those creatures.

I'd just like to say that I'm enjoying this immensely.
It is very much a process of finding out. I thought I knew what
the Landsuits looked like, vaguely (uh, let's see, kinda bulky, lumpy
gadgety stuff... grey, probably, Pallin looks like an actor named Ian...),
now I know what they really look like. I can't wait to find out what
everything else really looks like. The best bits are the things that I
never thought of, the surprises.
